Designing with Legacy, Creativity, and Sustainability
Hi, I’m Amelia Pantazon, and my design practice is all about giving garments a second life. I love working with heirloom and bridal dresses, taking pieces passed down through generations and transforming them into something new, intimate, and personal. There’s something special about honoring the history of a dress while making it uniquely yours, and that’s at the heart of what I do.
Sustainability isn’t just a principle for me—it’s a way of approaching creativity. I explore upcycling, natural dyes, and thoughtful hand construction to make each piece meaningful, intentional, and one-of-a-kind. From hand sewing and embroidery to reimagining existing fabrics, I’m fascinated by the challenge of creating something beautiful while minimizing waste.
Every project is an experiment, a story, and a chance to celebrate the memories woven into a garment while shaping its future. Through my work, I hope to inspire a deeper connection to fashion–one that balances respect for a garment’s history with innovative, purposeful design.
